SHOPPING - As a gateway to the Caribbean and the Americas, Greater Miami brims with cosmopolitan malls, shopping districts, and outdoor markets. Dadeland -- Miami-Dade's oldest mall with Florida’s largest Macy’s as well as Macy’s Home Gallery & Kids -- also has Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, JCPenney, and the largest The Limited / Express Store in the nation, plus nearly 200 other specialty shops. Where World War II army barracks once stood, the ultra-luxurious, comparatively intimate Bal Harbour Shops has its own concierge plus shops and department stores from Cartier and Gucci to Saks Fifth Avenue and the first Neiman-Marcus outside Texas. With interior waterfalls and lagoons, The Falls anchors the city’s south side with upscale specialty stores, restaurants and a theater complex. In Coconut Grove, Coco Walk’s three floors of specialty shops are interspersed with popular eateries and clubs. The Streets of Mayfair, also in Coconut Grove, is an open-air shopping promenade including a Borders Books Music Cafe. The Dolphin Mall, in west Dade with a Marshall’s megastore, has some 200 outlet venues, including dining and entertainment.

Along Biscayne Bay downtown near the seaport, Bayside Marketplace boasts specialty shops, live entertainment, and a food court. Aventura Mall, anchored by Macy's, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney, Sears, and Bloomingdale's, has a 24-screen theater and trendy eateries including Cheesecake Factory and a seductive Paul Bakery. Loehmann's Fashion Island straddling Aventura and North Miami Beach is a hot spot for off-price designer wear. With a welcoming banyan tree, the three-story Shops at Sunset Place draws families with a 24-screen theater and IMAX. Village of Merrick Park, in Coral Gables, is anchored by Nordstrom and Neiman-Marcus and more than 100 specialty shops. Worthy shopping districts include the Lincoln Road Mall, portions of Collins Avenue, and Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile. Outdoor markets abound, among them the Coconut Grove Farmers Market, Coral Gables Farmers Market, Espanola Way Market, and Lincoln Road Farmers Market, plus the Lincoln Road Antique and Collectibles Market.

DINING - As the commercial, cultural capital of the Americas, Miami’s dining scene reflects burgeoning diversity, mixing exotic newcomer restaurants with long-standing institutions, often seasoned by Latin influence and hot winds of the Caribbean. New World cuisine, a culinary counterpart to accompany Miami’s New World Symphony, provides a loose fusion of Latin, Asian, and Caribbean flavors utilizing fresh, area-grown ingredients. Innovative restaurateurs and chefs similarly reel in patrons with Floribbean-flavored seafood fare, while keeping true to down-home Florida favorites, sometimes called cracker cookin’. Among the most renowned of Miami’s upscale restaurants are Norman’s, created by Chef Norman Van Aken, and Chef Allen’s in Aventura, namesake of Allen Susser, creator of his renowned five course tasting menu. Joe’s Stone Crab, at the southern end of South Beach, reigns as a king of crab palaces, recently heading out to sea with annexes aboard Carnival’s Fun Ships. Another institution, The Forge, is known for rare antiques, exquisite objects d' art and a 300,000-bottle wine cellar. Tasty Cuban cuisine is served at hundreds of cafés and bodegas in and around Little Havana, while Colombian, Nicaraguan, Puerto Rican and other Latin flavors are also readily available. Early bird dinner specials, always popular with retirees, remain plentiful in Miami. Yet with dining out an essential part of Miami nightlife, no patron need ever fear restaurants will roll up their sidewalks shortly after sundown. In fact, that’s when trendy South Beach outposts begin to sizzle.

TRANSPORTATION - If you do not wish to rent an automobile, there are several economic methods of Miami public transportation available throughout the city. Metrorail's elevated rapid transit system runs from Kendall through South Miami, Coral Gables, and downtown Miami; to the Civic Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital area; and to Brownsville, Liberty City, Hialeah, and Medley in northwest Miami-Dade, with connections to Broward and Palm Beach counties at the Tri-Rail/Metrorail transfer station. The 22 accessible Metrorail stations are about one-mile apart, providing easy access for bus riders, pedestrians, and passengers dropped off and picked up. Parking is available at 19 Metrorail stations, including the new Palmetto Station..

Metromover is a free automated people-mover system that serves downtown Miami from Omni to Brickell and connects with Metrorail at Government Center and Brickell stations. There are 20 conveniently-located wheelchair-accessible Metromover stations, one about every two blocks. Metromover links many of downtown Miami's major office buildings, hotels, and retail centers, the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, the Cultural Plaza (Miami Art Museum, Historical Museum, Main Library), and the Brickell business district. With Metromover cars arriving frequently, getting around downtown is fast and convenient.

Tri-Rail is a commuter rail system with 15 stations throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. It's the convenient, comfortable and affordable way to travel throughout the South Florida region.

Attractions - Miami is not only sandy beaches and art deco. This cosmopolitan and modern city is full of attractions for all ages and needs. The attractions are so broad that you can get all you need, want or dream off as soon as your arrive at Miami International Airport.

Activities range from art to nightlife, sports to shopping and much more. You can find the best NBA teams and concerts at the American Airline arena, great dining and nightlife in South Beach and for the nature lovers we are minutes away form the Everglades National park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is one of the world's best botanic gardens, with and extensive and rare collection. Your will find the most rare and intriguing species of palms, cycads, flowering trees and vines. The new Carnival Center for the Performing Arts is the central point of performing arts activity in South Florida and serves as a platform for the finest cultural programs. The Duck Tour is a unique city tour, not only will you be able to see the city by wheels you will also cruise Biscayne Bay and see Miami from the bay. Also you can take a typical walking tour by the Art Deco district where you can learn about the history and architecture of South Beach.

ENTERTAINMENT - Greater Miami’s legendary night scene sizzles with possibility, driven by fashion and entertainment industry mavens. Dubbed the Sun and Fun Capital by Jackie Gleason in the ‘60s, Miami Beach has since evolved into America’s Riviera and a Latin Hollywood, with theatrical flair. Television’s circa ‘80s Miami Vice has morphed into Miami Vice: The Movie, starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, with other memorable made-in-Miami flicks ranging from Goldfinger, The Birdcage, and Something About Mary to 2 Fast 2 Furious, Bad Boys, Bad Boys 2 and Out of Sight. As a result, celebrity spottings are a de rigueur reality of Miami nightlife -- at live Latin jazz venues, on dance floors of hipper-than-thou clubs, and restaurants that transform as evenings progress from venues for guava cheesecake dessert courses into wee hours nightclubs.

Staying on top of what’s hot poses a challenge, as ever-more fabulous concepts open each season. Just north of downtown, Overtown – – is on the upswing, revitalizing an entertainment district anchored by the historic Lyric Theater. Saturated with Cuban culture, Calle Ocho, Little Havana's main drag, is lined with eateries and places where sounds of salsa and merengue fill the air. South of downtown, Coconut Grove – New Year’s home of the King Mango Strut political spoof parade -- awaits with restaurants, movie theaters and bookstores. Lovely Coral Gables teems with top dining enclaves and galleries presenting the crème de la crème of art. Little wonder that Miami consistently ranks at the pinnacle for singles scene action and Latin beats, and nowhere is this more apparent than in clubs of the moment like Prive, Mansion and Mynt, where DJs spin the latest house music. Tourists, locals and celebrities mingle at Hoy Como Ayer to experience the sounds of DJ Le Spam & The All Stars, among happening live music clubs in Little Havana. From live music venues like Churchill's to elegant global gatherings like Rumi, Tap Tap, and Tantra, Miami glitters with stars and excitement.
